Suspect sought in Lehigh Verizon store smash and grab

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Authorities are searching for a suspect who smashed through the front window of a Lehigh Acres Verizon store last month.

Just before 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 16, a man used what officials believe to be a sledge hammer to get into the Verizon Wireless store located at 2814 Lee Boulevard.

The suspect quickly grabbed two phones from the display case before kicking in the door to the store’s main office, and later leaving with nothing else in hand.

The suspect caused more than $1,000 in damage, authorities said.
