PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – A man was killed Sunday after crashing his motorcycle into a tree at the intersection of Starlite Lane and Midway Boulevard, authorities said. Jason Edward Dorris, 32, of Port Charlotte, was driving northbound when he struck a tree and was ejected from his vehicle around 1:35 p.m., according to Florida Highway Patrol. He was taken to Bayfront Health Port Charlotte Hospital where he was pronounced dead, FHP said. No injuries were reported. Roads were blocked on Starlite Lane near Midway Boulevard after the deadly motorcycle crash, authorities said.
