Ten taken to hospital in school bus crash

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – At least 10 people were taken to the hospital after a school bus was involved in a crash on Placida Road at Bantry Bay Boulevard. Charlotte County Fire and EMS officials said high school students were on the bus at the time.
Two other vehicles, a Nissan and a Chevy truck were involved in the crash around 6:49 a.m. Monday morning. Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies had the road blocked during the morning commute while the Florida Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
Officials said the 10 injured were taken to Bayfront Health Port Charlotte. All injuries were minor. Trust WINK News for any new details as they become available.
