City council not happy with developer’s plans for City of Palms ParkFriends grieving for 15-year-old shot during attempted robbery
CLEWISTON, Fla. – A worker was killed in an accident at U.S. Sugar’s Clewiston facility, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration said. Jeremy Scott Mullins, 25, was washing down sugar on the ground between “the plant and the A frame” when “the A frame moved forward toward the plant and Mr. Mullins was pinched between the A frame and plant,” according to a Hendry County Sheriff’s Office report. A saw was used to cut the bar Mullins was trapped under, the report said. Mullins was taken to Clewiston Medical Center, then airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital, where he later died. No further information was immediately available.
