Few tips received one year after Tice women’s disappearance

TICE, Fla.- A cross now stands on Glenwood Avenue in memory of 46-year-old Donna Chatterton who vanished a year ago, one day before her mobile home went up in flames.

Lee County detectives are still seeking leads into Chatterton’s suspicious disappearance as her mother, Diane Bisram, waits for answers.

“How can you have a funeral? Answer that one. How can I have a funeral? She’s not here,” said Bisram. “All I have left is that cross on the property. It’s all I have to hang on to.”

Apart from losing her daughter, Bisram says the uncertainty of what happened to Chatterton is unbearable.

“It’s hard to sleep, hard to do anything,” Bisram said. “What’s happened to her, or if somebody did something to her. I want to know before I die, I want to know.”

Chatterton’s family at one point raised $350 to offer as a reward to anyone who came forward with information, but they haven’t heard a thing. Bisram is making a new plea, hoping even the slightest piece of information may help authorities make a break in the case.

“I won’t even give their names if they don’t want me to, you know? It’ll be in private just them and me. But they need to come and let me know something.”

In the meantime, Bisram cleared her daughter’s lot to make room for a new mobile home.

“We’re planning on putting a trailer on the property so I can feel close to her because that’s all I have left.”

If you have any information on Chatterton’s disappearance, you can provide an anonymous tip by calling Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
