PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- Police are looking to identify a woman in connection with the tampering of multiple ATMs in Punta Gorda. ATMs at a Publix on Burnt Store Road, and another one at the Busey Bank on the 2800 block of Tamiami Trail, had their cash outlets super-glued shut, Punta Gorda police said. “The banks have addressed those ATMs and they’ve been fixed, and we’re still looking to identify the woman,” said Katie Heck with the Punta Gorda Police Department. Authorities are offering up to $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Police say the person responsible for vandalizing the ATMs will be charged with criminal mischief.
