Battle of the Bands happening in Naples Saturday nightPleasant but humid Saturday with little cloud cover
MGN MIAMI (AP) – More than 150 former homeless men and women are rejoining society armed with educations and job skills. A graduation ceremony was held at Marlins Park on Saturday for graduates of Miami Rescue Mission and Broward Outreach Centers. The graduates wore caps and gowns, three shared their stories and Rev. Ron Brummitt gave a message. The programs help graduates reintegrate into society by helping them with education, job training and providing food and shelter. Brummitt says they came in homeless, hopeless and emotionally drained from life’s hurts and are leaving with smiles and hope.
