Fort Myers man charged in deadly 2015 hit-and-run crash

FORT MYERS, Fla.- A Fort Myers man has been charged in a deadly 2015 vehicle versus bicyclist hit-and-run crash on Nuna Avenue.

On Friday, the Fort Myers Police Department charged 22-year-old Daniel Aquino Longoria in the death of Tony Jermun Bridley.

Police say Longoria hit Bridley with his car in the early morning hours of May 25, 2015. Longoria later set his vehicle on fire and reported the vehicle stolen, authorities said.

Longoria is facing charges for leaving the scene of a traffic crash involving death, vehicular homicide, arson, and tampering with evidence.
