FORT MYERS, Fla.- Undercover officers with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office helped provide a memorable Christmas for local kids. The special investigations unit delivered a cart full of presents to the ACT shelter to make sure Santa didn’t forget about the kids going through a tough time. Although the officers, who have to remain anonymous for safety reasons, won’t get any individual recognition, they say they just wanted to help out. Members of the narcotics unit used their own money to buy the gifts for 20 boys and 10 girls from three months old to 16 years of age.
