Custom helmets being showcased at ‘Helmet Wars: The Art Awakens’

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- In a galaxy far, far away, well, Cape Coral really, over 50 acclaimed artists will showcase their talents by painting custom and sculpted “Star Wars” Stormtrooper helmets to benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.

The galactic art show will take place Saturday, Dec. 19 from 7 p.m. to Midnight at Rack’Em Billiards on SE 47th Terrace in Cape Coral.

Jedi Kelly Rogers, owner/operator of Gearhead Tattoo, along with Rack’Em Billiards, Howl Gallery and Ink Infusion Empire will be your hosts for the unique Star Wars themed event that will include a Star Wars memorabilia auction, costume contest, trivia and lots of great live entertainment including a performance by the Brothers of Alien Rock.

Event admission will be a new unwrapped toy for Golisano Children’s Hospital or a cash donation. Toys will be distributed to young patients for the holidays.

The Smuggler’s Bounty silent auction at the event will include items sure to please any Star Wars aficionado including miniature light sabers, black series wampa/Luke Skywalker figures, autographed items, a 1977 Star Wars Marvel #1 special edition oversized comic and much more.

Guests will also enjoy a viewing of the original Star Wars trilogy as they mix, mingle, place bids and enjoy an out of this world great time.
