Salvation Army opens new toy shop

Published: Updated:

NAPLES, Fla. – Just in time for the holidays, The Salvation Army of Naples opened a brand new toy shop to help them distribute toys to children and families in need this holiday season.

Located inside an old office supply store at 3420 Tamiami Trail East, the 15,000 square foot space will hold thousands of toys and food for holiday meal boxes. Volunteers put together about 125 bags of toys per day, each toy filled bag will go to a child and support families in Collier County.

Families have already pre-registered their children for toys with the Salvation Army. However if you are a Naples or Marco Island resident who missed the sign up in Collier County, you have one last chance to sign up this Saturday. Parents wishing to register their children can visit the Golden Gate Community Center on Saturday, December 5th from 9:00 a.m. to Noon and sign up.

Parents must bring:

  1. Valid photo ID with a Naples or Marco Island Address
  2. Birth Certificate for each child (ages up to 12 years old)

Due to the high volume of toy requests this year, The Salvation Army is still in need of your help and looking for toy donations. New toys can be dropped off at any Salvation Army location, the new toy shop location, or any Toys for Tots drop box across Southwest Florida.
