FORT MYERS, Fla.- The attorney for one of the men accused of killing Bonita Springs doctor Teresa Sievers appeared in court on Monday.

A judge acknowledged that Curtis “Wayne” Wright, charged with second-degree murder, entered a not guilty plea.

Wright’s attorney, Elizabeth Parker, says more information in the case will come out soon.

“We look forward to receiving discovery from the State Attorney’s Office, and then we’ll be able to move forward with our defense,” said Parker.

Wright’s next court date is Dec. 30.

Jimmy Rodgers is also charged in Sievers’ murder. He’s currently serving six months behind bars in Missouri for violating probation. After he serves that time, he will be extradited to Florida.
