Naked East Naples man breaks into home with mother, daughter inside

EAST NAPLES, Fla.- A man is in jail after reports show he broke into an apartment naked while a woman and child slept.

Sammy Bledsoe, a friend of the victim, stood near the victim’s apartment door and explained how the man got inside.

“You can see here on the door frame where he broke in,” explained Bledsoe.

The victim was asleep but woke up after she heard footsteps. She told deputies a man was standing in her bedroom doorway, naked.

“She saw him and screamed in terror, louder than she has ever screamed in her life,” said Bledsoe. “She is really traumatized.”

Deputies say it was Kevin Killilea who broke into the apartment. When deputies arrived, Killilea had left the woman’s apartment but was still lingering around the East Naples complex and was arrested.

“Not one single indecent exposure charge or anything like that,” said Bledsoe. “I think that is kind of messed up you know? Who breaks into someone’s house naked? It’s not okay.”

When deputies asked Killilea why he was in the woman’s apartment he told them he was “going inside” and explained he was naked because he “lost his clothes at his home.”

Reports show Killilea’s behavior became even more strange when he spoke with the nurse at the Collier County Jail. He was described as being “erratic like he was possibly under the influence of a drug.”

Killilea does have a wrap sheet including inhaling harmful chemicals, grand theft and more.

“Who knows what could have happened, it could have been really, really awful,” said Bledsoe.
