LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – “She just came towards me with the car and I’m pretty sure I hit her mirror. After that, I just blacked out,” said Luis Escobar.

Escobar was running errands for his family on Thanksgiving, when he says a woman in a white Nissan plowed into his motorcycle and took off. Escobar said he was still on the ground when she drove off.

“After the accident, the car that was in front of her stopped. He pulled over and came to help me out. I kept telling the other guy, ‘catch her, catch her, get her.’ I kind of got up, then I fell down. I couldn’t do anything about it,” said Escobar.

He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital for cuts and scrapes. Escobar was released, and says he’s lucky to be alive.

“My whole back is torn up [but] I have nothing fractured. Everything hurts. I don’t even know how I made it,” said Escobar.

Escobar’s fiance says they are begging the person who hit him to step forward.

“Do the right thing. Don’t be selfish. We have kids. We have a family. If you were scared, you could have stayed and helped him out,” said Sadi Castillo.

Florida Highway Patrol says they are looking for the woman and her vehicle. If you have any information, call 239-938-1800.
