Friday’s Furry Friends: Polly Pocket, KodiakGateway High School track coach fired over naked photo allegations
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook is not starting for the No. 9 Spartans against No. 2 Ohio State on Saturday. Cook missed most of last week’s game against Maryland after taking a shot to his right shoulder. Michigan State gave little information about Cook leading up to the game. Coach Mark Dantonio said Cook was a 9 1/2 on a scale of 10 when asked about the quarterback’s health. Tyler O’Conner is starting in Cook’s place. The junior has played four games this season and is 6 for 11 for 44 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception. Cook is one of the best quarterbacks in the country, throwing for 2,482 yards and 21 touchdowns for a Michigan State offense that has had an inconsistent running game. ___ AP college football website: collegefootball.ap.org
