NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – A laundromat offered free services Saturday for any families in need. The LaundroMart on Pondella Road invited anyone to come and do their laundry for free. The idea behind the project came from a nonprofit organization based in Florida. “We put together the Laundry Project to help meet that need, to help families that are struggling with that decision to give them the opportunity to wash all their clothes and provide a little relief from that financial burden,” said Jason Sowell. Families said it was a huge relief to have one less bill especially as the holidays approach.
