ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) – Authorities say a woman was shot and wounded in the drive-thru of a Tampa Bay area McDonald’s as a team of bail bondsmen moved to capture a wanted felon.

St. Petersburg police say the team was trying to box in the man’s vehicle when a woman in the front passenger seat was shot. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.

Police say the wanted man, 26-year-old Deveon Stokes, was taken into custody. His warrant was for driving with a suspended license, possession with intent to sell cocaine and failure to appear in court.

Authorities didn’t immediately name the woman who was shot.
