FMPD releases sketch of man suspected of trying to lure child

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers police have released a sketch of the man suspected of trying to lure a 9-year-old into his car last week.

Officers say on Nov. 2 around 2:30 p.m., the victim was walking on Canal Street between Jackson Street and Broadway Avenue when he was approached by a man driving an orange pick-up truck. The man asked the child if he needed a ride, but police say he was ignored by the 9-year-old.

The man’s truck is further described as an orange, two-door extended cab pick-up truck with an attached toolbox.
