CAPE CORAL, Fla.- The Cape Coral Police Department is investigating reports of a suspicious person at a bus stop Tuesday morning. Authorities say the suspect was driving slowly near the 5200 block of Pelican Boulevard, when he stopped and motioned at the 13-year-old victim to come over to the vehicle, but she refused. After getting on the bus, the teen snapped a photo of a car matching the description at a 7-Eleven in south Cape Coral. The 13-year-old girl’s father called her brave, and tells WINK News she’s doing okay. Cape Coral police say the suspect is described as being in his 40s, and driving an older-style, tan/gold 1990s Mercedes-Benz. If you have any information, call CCPD at 239-574-3223.
