Power restored on Bonita Beach Rd. after transformer fire

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla – Power was restored to all 750 homes on Bonita Beach Road late Sunday afternoon after a transformer caught on fire.

Bonita Springs Fire and Rescue said it happened around 5 a.m. near the intersection of Bonita Beach Road and Arroyal Road.

Crews worked throughout the day to restore power to the homes and closed the roadway while they worked to put out the fire.
