19-year-old under arrest in Fort Myers homicide
FORT MYERS, Fla.- A 19-year-old is facing murder charges in a late October shooting at an apartment complex on Seminole Avenue, confirmed Fort Myers police.
Levon Barnes of Lehigh Acres was arrested for the murder of 22-year-old Tresjuan Irvin on Oct. 28. Authorities say Irvin died at the scene after being shot outside the Cypress Court apartments.
During the investigation, detectives tracked Barnes to Valdosta, Georgia and arrested him on Wednesday. He was transported to the Lowndes County Jail in Georgia where he awaits extradition back to Lee County.
