WINK News tours Haunted Walk at Calusa Nature Center

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Hundreds of people attended the annual Haunted Walk at the Calusa Nature Center on Halloween.

All of the proceeds for the event go towards the nonprofit.

The walk is filled with special effects, actors jumping out at people, and a lot of screaming.

“They’ll be like, ‘oh no, I see that light, I know someone’s behind there,’ and then you pop out and you still scare them which is hilarious,” Mahala Loring, a makeup artist for the Haunted Walk said.

One of the scare actors say working at the Haunted Walk is just as fun as it is unpredictable.

“We try to tell the guest not to run but every once in awhile they’ll get so scared that they start running and you just kind of can’t move out of the way or it’s kind of a fight or flight where they choose fight instead of flight,” Molly Chase said. “You’ll kind of get smacked around but it’s definitely worth it because it’s really rewarding in the end”
