FORT MYERS, Fla.- Lee County Sheriff’s deputies confiscated 335 pounds of marijuana following a traffic stop along Interstate 75 on Wednesday. Aundra Recardo Paisley, 43, of Lauderhill was arrested for trafficking marijuana and using a vehicle to transport controlled substances. Deputies say Paisley, who has been arrested previously for crimes ranging from narcotics offenses to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, was stopped near mile marker 148 around 4 p.m. for following a car too closely. The highway interdiction sergeant who pulled the car over could smell the odor of marijuana inside the van, and his K-9 partner alerted to the presence of illegal drugs. During a search of the car, authorities found six large bundles of marijuana. Paisley is being held at the Lee County Jail on $50,000 bond.
