LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) – Seven people were arrested in connection to what Polk County officials call a “panty raid” that resulted in about $50,000 in stolen goods from Victoria’s Secret.

The Lakeland Ledger reports (http://bit.ly/1Ryaqjk) that 26 separate thefts occurred at two Victoria’s Secret locations – Lakeside Village in Lakeland and Eagle Ridge Mall in Lake Wales – since July.

Throughout the investigation, PCSO said, the suspects were seen concealing merchandise and using “booster bags” to remove the items from the store without paying for them. “Booster bags” are commonly used to get merchandise past anti-theft detectors at the front of stores, and, according to PCSO, bags like that were found in the suspects’ possession when they were arrested.
