Man on cellphone killed by train

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) – Authorities say a man talking on his cellphone was killed by a train in South Florida.

West Palm Beach police say the man was walking near the Regional Transportation Authority tracks Thursday afternoon when he was hit.

The Palm Beach Post (http://goo.gl/8gZXJV ) reports that witnesses told police the man was hit after going under crossing gates.

Police didn’t immediately identify the man.
