Arrest made in Fort Myers shooting

FORT MYERS, Fla.- A 19-year-old woman is under arrest in connection with a shooting Monday morning.

Niajia Adames is facing charges for aggravated battery with a firearm.

The victim, 18-year-old Elijah Wilson, was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital as a trauma alert after being found laying near the intersection of Simpson Street and Glenn Drive suffering from a gunshot wound. He remains hospitalized but is expected to survive.
