COLLIER COUNTY, Fla — Thirty miles over the speed limit, allegedly driving drunk, with two little kids in the backseat! That’s what deputies say 25-year-old John Paul Denney was doing, when they pulled him over earlier this week. Collier deputies says Denny was driving 95 mph in a 30 mile zone. Zipping around cars, all while two small children hung on to their car seats for the seven mile chase. Deputies found a beer can inside the truck. The mother was also in the vehicle. She told police she begged Denney to pull over. Deputies say the truck they were in swerved around other cars… They tried to pull Denney over near Immokalee Road and Randall Blvd, But he took off, sending deputies on a high speed chase nearly 7 miles. It wasn’t until he lost control at the intersection of Randall and Desoto Blvd N, that he was arrested. Reports show Denney admitted to drinking *while driving with the kids in the car. Denney is now facing child cruelty charges.
