“He’s not our father;” FMPD alerted to suspicious truck

FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Fort Myers Police Department (FMPD) is searching for a red truck after a witness says two young girls help up a sign in the backseat begging for help.

Police say the two girls had drawn up a message on their iPad reading “Help us, he’s not our father.”

The red Toyota Tacoma or Tundra was spotted by the witness at approximately 10:13 a.m. at the intersection of of Winkler Avenue and Fowler Street.

Scarlett’s, a local gentleman’s club, caught what is believed to be the truck on camera passing by at exactly 10:13 a.m. It has a trailer hitch and a tool box.

The witness believed the vehicle to have a Georgia license plate with the first two characters as “JK”. It was last seen traveling on southbound on Fowler Street toward Colonial Boulevard.

The witness described the girl holding the iPad as being a white female approximately 10 years old with blonde hair. The second girl was described as being approximately 6 years old and is believed to be Hispanic. The subject driving the truck described as a white man with dark hair.
