PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Detectives are searching for a truck caught on the scene of a vehicle burglary this past weekend at the El Jobean fishing pier parking area. The red pickup truck was captured on surveillance video at the parking lot on Saturday, Oct.3. Authorities say the truck’s driver was seen taking items from the victim’s vehicle. The red pickup appears to be a 1998 to 2000 model Toyota Tacoma with a sticker in the lower part of the driver’s side windshield. There also appears to be some sort of black box, perhaps like a large plastic tool box, in the bed of the truck.
