GOLDEN GATE, Fla.- A man is under arrest after he crashed his car at high speeds and lead deputies on a foot chase.

Deputies say 22-year-old Paul Arnold was driving a maroon Lexus when they tried to conduct a routine traffic and he took off.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office set up a perimeter along Hunter and Santa Barbara Boulevards while a helicopter, deputies and K-9 partners worked to track the suspect down.

Arnold was apprehended a short time later in the 2000 block of 50th Terrace Southeast. He is now facing charges for fleeing and alluding authorities, leaving the scene of a crash with damage, not having a valid driver’s license and possession of marijuana.
