FORT MYERS, Fla. – For the second year the beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel are home to some of the best songwriters in the country.

More than 70 artists and songwriters from Atlanta, Nashville and beyond have arrived in Southwest Florida to preform their work and show off their talent. Songwriters like Aaron Barker, Frank Myers, Janna Kramer Kristen Kelly and Ruthie Collins are just some of the artists excited to be in Southwest Florida.

“These people here in the Fort Myers area have been so great, to sit down and listen to us talk about how we wrote the songs and then we’ll play them and they’ll hear the writers version of how they wrote the song,” said Barker.

The Island Hopper Songwriter Festival runs through September 27th. Performances by artists take place nightly at locations in Fort Myers and on Fort Myers Beach. To view a full list of performance times and locations and learn more about the festival, click here.
