Teen arrested in Collier County high-speed chase

NAPLES, Fla. – An 18-year-old was arrested for leading Collier County deputies on a high speed chase in a stolen car.

Deputies said Ralph Johnson III was caught speeding around 9:30 p.m. Friday night in the area of Immokalee Road and Big Island Ranch Road.

When deputies started following Johnson, they said he sped up and tried to take off. At one point, deputies said Johnson was going 110 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone.

Johnson eventually lost control, crashing the car.

Deputies arrested Johnson on charges for reckless fleeing, resisting a law enforcement officer and driving without a valid license.
