GOLDEN GATE, Fla.- Collier County deputies arrested a man after they say he led them on a high speed chase. The chase started in Golden Gate on Collier Boulevard near the McDonalds around 3 p.m. Tuesday. It ended in East Naples where deputies say the man ditched his car and took off on foot. Deputies arrested Matthew Warren Mitchell after the Collier County helicopter spotted him hiding in the swampy water nearby the scene. Deputies also recovered a stolen rifle, drugs and a scale from the SUV.
