NAPLES, Fla. -The Coast Guard has suspended the search for a 54-year-old missing boater. Officials searched for Robert J. Poissant for nearly three days in Gordan’s Pass and surrounding waters. Poissant first went missing Saturday when his 22-foot boat floated adrift while he swam in the Gulf of Mexico with his girlfriend. Authorities say the woman reached shore after swimming for four hours. Neither of them had been wearing life jackets. Coast Guard rescue crews involved in the search covered more than 3,455 square nautical miles during 16 separate searches since Saturday.
