LCSO investigating Fifth Third bank robbery

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- Deputies are searching for a man in connection with a bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank located on 8800 W. Terry Street.

Authorities say a white man entered the bank around noon, displaying a gun and demanding cash.

The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall, between 160-180 pounds, and wearing a white bandana over his face and an Ohio State baseball cap.

Officials say the man left the bank in a gold Pontiac or Buick crossover, possibly a Pontiac Aztek.

No injuries were reported. A red dye pack was deployed, and the vehicle or suspect may have red dye on them, authorities said.

“We urge the community, if you see anything give us a call, ’cause we want to get to the bottom of this as quickly as we can and bring that perpetrator to justice,” said Lt. Scott Lineberger.
