TAMPA, Fla. (AP) – A man and woman were arrested after authorities say the shined a green laser at a Tampa police helicopter. Police say the helicopter was assisting in a carjacking case Monday night when the laser started shining in the cockpit. The crew guided ground units to a home where the light was coming from. Officers reported finding 23-year-old Ryan Davis and 21-year-old Juliana Marie Lampe on the front porch pointing the light at the helicopter. The pair went inside as officers approached but eventually allowed officers to enter the home and retrieve the laser. Davis and Lampe were arrested and charged with misuse of a laser lighting device. The incident was reported to the FBI and Federal Aviation Administration. Davis and Lampe were later released on $2,000 bail each. Jail records didn’t list attorneys.
