MGN ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – Nearly 3.5 million passengers passed through Orlando International Airport last month, an increase of more than eight percent from last year. Airport officials say July’s domestic traffic increased 6.5 percent with 2,981,559 total passengers. International traffic also grew to the tune of 19.5 percent with 494,830 passengers. Greater Orlando Airport Authority chairman Frank Kruppenbacher says that volume of traffic is typically associated with holiday travel. They anticipate that growth to continue when new services launch by Emirates Airline to Dubai and Icelandair to Keflavik in September. OIA is on track for a record-breaking traffic year, having already experienced an overall passenger increase of 6.6 percent from 2014.
