Deal of the Day: Discounts with library cards

PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- In honor of national library card sign-up month, several counties in Southwest Florida are offering incentives to sign up for a library card.

In DeSoto and Charlotte counties, if you get a card during the month of September, you will get a voucher for a free sunset cruise. You can use the voucher in September or October. King Fisher Fleet will offer the 90 minute cruse over Charlotte Harbor. For the current schedule, more information, and reservations, call 941-639-0969.

In Collier county, there are nearly two dozen businesses offering special offers to anyone who shows their library card during the month of September.

The following business are participating: Abbot’s Frozen Custard, Ben & Jerry’s Homemade Ice Cream, California Pizza Kitchen, Cold Stone Creamery at the Esplanade, Florida Olive Oil Company, Foxboro Sports Tavern, French American Bistro, Habitat for Humanity, Jade Orchids, King Richards Family Fun Park, Make A Memory, Menchie’s, Miller’s Ale House, Monkey Bread Factory, Naples Flatbread, Regina’s Ice Cream Pavilion, Sam Snead’s Tavern, Senor Tequila’s Mexican Grill, Simply Cupcakes of Naples, Stage 62 Delicatessen, TGI Friday’s and Wynn’s Market.
