EVERGLADES Fla. — Collier County Sheriff’s Office detectives told WINK News that “some people” discovered human remains down a dirt road deep in the Everglades south of Alligator Alley. The discovery was made on Saturday. On Sunday, investigators confirmed that the remains were a human and not an animal. Authorities have not officially released the gender of the deceased person. A CCSO helicopter was used to help homicide detectives search the area for clues.
