Suspect sought in Port Charlotte bank robbery

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Deputies are looking for a man who robbed the Charlotte State Bank Saturday morning.

Charlotte County sheriff’s deputies said the man robbed the bank at 1100 Tamiami Trail around 11:20 a.m. Deputies said the man did not flash a gun during the robbery but implied he had one on him. Once the robber got the money, he took off running through the woods behind Sonny’s Barbeque.

Deputies said the suspect was wearing jeans and a hooded sweatshirt at the time. They are also looking for two persons of interest. One is a man who was wearing a backpack and the other is a woman who was wearing multi-colored pants.
