FORT MYERS, Fla. – Two people were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning while working at a construction site Saturday afternoon. Fort Myers police and fire fighters responded to a HAZMAT scene on First Street in downtown. Police said they were able to contain the HAZMAT incident and evacuated everyone from area businesses and residences. First Street between Jackson Street and Hendry Street was closed for roughly two hours as fire fighters and police officers cleared the scene.
