FORT MYERS, Fla. – For the first time, IHOP has teamed up with the national organization, No Kid Hungry to join the fight against hunger and make sure all children have something to eat. Tuesday, August 25th is “Share a Smile Day,” where for just $1 you can get a short stack of pancakes and 50 cents of that will go to support No Kid Hungry. IHOP plans to raise more than $250,000 across the country Wednesday and feed more than 3,000 people just in Fort Myers. “One in five American children struggle with hunger, which can have serious long-term effects on their development and success,” said Darren Rebelez, President of International House of Pancakes, LLC. “We are so proud to partner with No Kid Hungry to bring smiles to children’s faces as we fight to end childhood hunger.” No Kid Hungry reports that 16 million kids struggle with hunger across America.
