Fire safety minions in Bonita Springs

It’s Minion Mania in Bonita Springs! Firefighters with the Bonita Springs Fire Control & Rescue District would like to welcome back local elementary students with the school’s very own Fire Safety Minion Fire Hydrant!

The Bonita Springs Fire District received approval from Bonita Springs Utilities and the elementary school to “minion-ize” a fire hydrant near the school property. The hydrants remain the standard colors “safety yellow” and blue, but are transformed into a minion by firefighters at BSFD. The Fire Safety Minions will display a fire safety message like 9-1-1, Stop, Drop, & Roll and Crawl Below the Smoke.

“The Bonita Springs Fire District wants to share fire safety in a fun way, through a character that the students are excited about. The firefighters will be at these elementary schools during August and September and we hope to complete the project by Fire Prevention Month in October,” said Public Education Coordinator Natalie Hughes.
