COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Members of the North Collier Fire Control District as well as EMS and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office are promoting back-to-school safety with their ‘Slow Down’ campaign. All week, they stationed at different locations holding a big sign reminding people to slow down since school is back in session. Today, the group was at Oil Well Road and Immokalee Road. Barry Liebowitz with North Collier Fire says this is something they look forward to during the first week of school every year. He says he loves seeing the kids smile on their way to school and reminding drivers to be extra careful. He says so far, it’s been a very safe first week of school.
