“The Lion King” is revived with a new television show

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Disney revives “The Lion King” franchise with a new movie and television show

“The Lion Guard: The Return of the Roar” is set to debut during prime time in November on the Disney Channel.

The movie follows Kion, the second born cub of Simba and Nala.

The movie will be a precursor for the television show “The Lion Guard” which will debut early in 2016.

James Earl Jones and Ernie Sabella will reprise their roles from the “The Lion King” as Mufasa and Pumbaa.

Rob Lowe will voice Simba and Gabrielle Union will voice Nala.
