SUV crashes into swamp on Alligator Alley, Road reopens

NAPLES, Fla. — Alligator Alley has reopened after an overnight deadly crash in Collier County.

It happened near mile marker 79.

A witness called the police after seeing a dark colored SUV veer off the road and crash into a swampy area early Thursday morning.

The SUV was in about 15 feet of mucky water.

The Collier County Sheriff’s dive team managed to pull the vehicle from the water.
