TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) – Three Florida schools recognized for demonstrating new and innovative ways to promote student physical activity and wellness will each receive a state-of-the-art Live Positively Fitness Center.

Gov. Rick Scott and celebrity fitness trainer Jake Steinfeld announced the schools Tuesday. They are Caloosa Middle in Cape Coral, Moseley Elementary in Palatka and Frances S. Tucker Elementary in Miami.

Steinfeld – known for his “Body by Jake” workout program – is chairman of the National Foundation for Governors’ Fitness Councils. The foundation has provided fitness centers to more than a million children and community members across the country since 2012.

The new fitness centers will be dedicated at ceremonies this fall. The foundation plans to bring its program to all 50 states in the coming years.
