NAPLES, Fla.- Hundreds of Immokalee students will head to school next week with a new pair of shoes.

Nearly 40 kids were fitted at Snyderman’s Shoes Monday morning as part of the Guadalupe Center’s 23rd annual Shoe and Supply Drive.

This year, Laces of Love provided a new pair of socks to each child as well. The shoes the kids get could be the only pair they have to wear all year.

“It used to be a program that was about 23 kids. Now, it will be about 350 kids that will get shoes this year from this program,” said Becky Joyce, owner of Snyderman’s Shoes.

All week long, kids ages five to 14 will be bused into the store. The shoes are free thanks to several organizations in Collier County.
