LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A Fort Myers woman died in a single car crash Saturday afternoon on Interstate 75. Florida Highway Patrol said 36-year-old Katherine Bell from Fort Myers was driving north on I-75 when she drifted off the highway. Bell’s car hit a large concrete pole holding up a highway sign. The crash happened just south of Daniels Parkway. Bell was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Emergency crews said Bell died at the scene. Troopers are investigating whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
