GOLDEN GATE, Fla.- Two teenagers are facing armed robbery charges in connection with a late night hold-up.

Detectives arrested Gerardo Hernandez, 17, and Franke Perry, 17, on Thursday night.

Hernandez and Perry were identified by witnesses after they were captured on surveillance video at Rose’s Food Mart located on Santa Barbara Boulevard.

While searching Hernandez’s residence, detectives found a shotgun matching the shotgun in the surveillance video of the robbery. Authorities also found shotgun rounds that matched those from the scene.

Detectives say when they arrived at Perry’s, he was wearing the same blue hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants worn by the suspect in the surveillance video matching his description.

Each of the teens is facing one count each of armed robbery with a firearm and grand theft.
